Les registres de l’Abbott’s Corner Baptist Church pour le 11 septembre 1900 font état de l’acte de sépulture suivant :

    «Burial

On the 10^th day of Sept. A.D. 1900

Merritt Carpenter infant son of

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Carpenter died

at their home at Abbotts Corner

at the age of nine months

and was buried in the family cemetery

at the same place on the 11^th day

of the same month by the subscriber

Assistant pastor of the Abbotts Corner

Baptist Church in the presence of

subscribing witnesses

                  W.G. Scofield

    AD Carpenter

             Bertha Carpenter.».
