Seminaro et non Germinaro

Les registres de la paroisse Le Précieux-Sang de Capelton pour le 21 mai 1911 font état de l’acte de baptême suivant :

«B 10   Germinaro Seminaro François

   Le vingt-et-un mai mil neuf cent onze nous prêtre soussigné avons baptisé François né le seize du courant fils légitime de Joseph Germinaro Seminaro et de Carminella Giliot. Le parrain a été  Gabriel Astorino et la marraine Vincenza sa Germinaro Seminaro qui n’ont pu signer.

               J.C. M^cGee, Curé». 

Dans la marge, on peut lire l’annotation suivante :

«Voir Jugement de rectification à la page 6».

Suit immédiatement dans le registre un acte similaire pour son frère jumeau Dominique.

Dans le jugement de la Cour supérieure daté du 28 octobre 1943 joint en annexe, il est notamment mentionné que :

        «…That the above errors are probably due to the fact that the priest in charge of the registers of civil status did not properly understand the names given to these children by the father of petitioner who spoke the Italian language and who was illiterate ;».
