Les registres de l'Anglican Cathedral Holy Trinity Church de Québec pour le 16 mai 1820 font état de l'acte de sépulture suivant :

«Smith Buried
John son of James Smith of the City of Quebec, employed in the Custom House & of Mary his wife, aged nine weeks & three days died on the fifteenth and was buried on the sixteen of May of the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred & twenty
