Les registres de l'Anglican Cathedral Holy Trinity Church de Québec pour le 14 août 1827 font état de l'acte de sépulture suivant :

«Stafford Buried

Mary Stafford of the City of Quebec Spinster who on the twelfth day of August instant, Coroner's warrant being in a fever did drink about a gill of mulled wine by reason thereof she experienced an attack of Inflammation of the brain and died on the same day, and was buried on the fourteenth of August in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven
