L’ondoiement d’un enfant anonyme

Les registres de la paroisse Saint-Antoine de Longueuil pour le 23 août 1915 font état de l’acte de sépulture suivant :

«S. 83   Anonyme Cerico

   The twenty-third of August one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, we the undersigned, parish priest, have interred in the cemetery of this parish, the body of the anonymed child of Henry Cerico and Anna Symoissko born died in coming to life, in presence of Henri Ceriko and Tony Szymouko undersigned. This act has been read to the parties. Un mot rayé nul.

À la suite, on peut lire l’acte suivant :

«B. 115   Anonyme Cerico

   Ce vingt-deux aout mil neuf cent quinze, a été ondoyé l’enfant de Henri Ceriko et d’Anna Simoissko.

              J.G. Payette ptre curé».

Noter que l’enfant a été inhumé en anglais et ondoyé en français.
