Les registres de l'Anglican Cathedral Holy Trinity Church de Québec pour le 7 décembre 1836 font état de l'acte de sépulture suivant :                         

«Sweeting buried      

George Sweeting ⁺ a Commuted Pensioner aged forty three years, died in the Hotel Dieu on the fourth, and was buried on the seventh of December, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty six.

Present     Marthe Sweeting, wife

                 John Rickaby». 

Dans la marge, on peut lire l'annotation suivante :

« + Sweeting or Sweestman». 

Cette annotation étonne compte tenu que l'épouse du défunt a signé au bas de l'acte.
