Les registres de l'Anglican Cathedral Holy Trinity Church de Québec pour le 26 juin 1814 font état de l'acte de sépulture suivant :

«Brown buried

Thomas Brown seaman on board the Bark Ann of London, John L. Greig Master, aged fifteen years, died in consequence of falling from the mizen mast head of the Bark, June the twenty fifth, and was buried June the twenty sixth, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen.
By me, Father Jehosaphat Mountain Officiating Minister at Quebec
Present John L. Greig Master Robe Haddan».

Noter le jeune âge du marin et la présence de son capitaine à son inhumation.
