In a fit of lunacy

Les registres de l'Anglican Cathedral Holy Trinity Church de Québec pour le 30 août 1804 font état de l'acte de sépulture suivant : 

«Richards buried 

William Richards, Quarter Master, in His Majesty's Sixth Regiment of Foot, aged about thirty five years, died, (from trowing himself out of a window in a fit of lunacy) August the twenty ninth, and was buried August the thirtieth, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and four.

Dans plusieurs actes de sépulture tant dans les registres catholiques que non catholiques, il est fréquent de mentionner que le défunt qui s'est suicidé n'avait plus sa raison.
