Une annotation d'intérêt

Les registres de l'Anglican Cathedral Holy Trinity Church de Québec pour le 17 décembre 1822 font état de l'acte de baptême suivant : 

«Brown Baptized 

Margaret, daughter of         Brown dead late of Belfast County of Antrim Ireland &of Elizabeth^x his  wife, was born on the fourteenth of November and privately baptized on the seventeenth of December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eigth hundred & twenty two

Dans la marge, on peut lire l'annotation suivante :

«^x maiden name Elisabeth Walker - (no evidence of a marriage and the father not in the country.)». 

La mention du nom de fille de l'épouse n'est pas fréquente dans les registres autres que catholiques.
