Les registres de la Clarenceville United Methodist Church pour le 19 septembre 1906 font état de l'acte de mariage suivant :                               

«Marriage   Miller GIS. and Noak L. Sept 19^th. 1906     

Guy Irving Sutherland Miller, of the Parish of Henryville, County of Iberville, Province of Quebec, son of Matthew Henry Miller and Flora A. M-Callum his wife, and Laura Noak, of Aston Birmingham, England, daughter of Alfred John Noak, and Mary his wife, were married by me by authority of license, on the nineteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and six, in the presence of the subscribing witnesses.

À la suite de l'acte, on peut lire l'information suivante :

«We, the undersigned parents of Guy I. S. Miller, give our full consent to his marrying Laura Noak.

Dans les registres de l'état civil, le consentement de parents de la partie mineure est la plupart du temps  indiqué dans le texte de l'acte de mariage. La façon de faire utilisée dans cet exemple est peu fréquente.
