Le pasteur agit comme un curé

Les registres de l'Anglican Cathedral Holy Trinity Church de Québec pour le 18 octobre 1828 font état de l'acte de sépulture suivant :

«a female Child buried

A female Child, aged about five months of whom, the name, & those of the Parents, could not be obtained, but of the fact of whose baptism, sufficient testimony was afforded, died on the seventeenth and was buried on the eighteenth of October, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine.

Noter le comportement du pasteur qui, comme l'aurait fait un curé catholique, s'empresse de mentionner dans le texte de l'acte que l'enfant a été baptisé.
